History

Riverdale Consulting Group, LLC was established by Stuart Reed. The business’s name is derived from Riverdale School District 88, a one-room schoolhouse in western Pratt County, Kansas that operated from 1906 – 1933. One of the students who attended Riverdale School was Stuart’s father, Wendell Reed. Wendell attended first through sixth grade at Riverdale School. A picture of the schoolhouse serves as the organization’s logo. The farmstead that Stuart grew up on is located a quarter mile from where Riverdale School was located.

Stuart grew up working for the family farming business where he learned responsibility, a strong work ethic, a love of the land, the value of a dollar, and the ability to think outside the box. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also completed additional classes at Gonzaga University working towards admission to the Master’s Degree in Accountancy program.

In addition to growing up on the farm, Stuart’s professional experience includes working in the healthcare and professional service industry, and the retail sector. He still spends weekends caring for the family farm.
